Rich Brains Poor Brains

I have recently read an interesting article titled, Brain Test Shows Child Wealth Gap. This article is about the extrodinary differences the the brains of children from wealthy, and poor families. The children raised in an economically stable enviroment tend to problem solve differently than those who are raised in a lower income family. There have been recent tests between several children raised in wealth and several raised in poverty. The children were exposed to a puzzle or image that they had been told to expect, and when that image was shown the children raised in wealthier households had a higher prefrontal cortex reaction. Which means that their brains reacted more to what they saw. This change in brain development could be due to the fact that generally, those children raised in econcomic instability are not spoken to as much as the children from wealthier familes.
